What does the G Guard PPF warranty cover?

G Guard warrants our paint protection film to be free from defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. Covered defects include: blistering and delaminating. This warranty does not extend coverage to damage caused by normal wear and tear, debris impact, yellowing, cracking, scratches, watermarks, accidents, collisions, or intentional damage of any kind.

FAQ

How does the film heal by itself?

It uses a special polymer in its clear coat that flows even though it is cured. This allows the clear coat to gain its natural level again after being exposed to potential impact or scratch damage.

How deep a scratch can heal?

The clear coat is the self-healing layer and is approximately 13 microns thick. If that layer is penetrated, the film will not heal.

How long will the clear coat last?

Depending on how the film is cared for, the clear coat can last indefinitely. Regular washing and waxing will keep the clear coat in top condition for years to come.

Will my car's paint discolors when the film is removed?

No. G Guard PRO Paint Protection Film allows UV to pass through the film and fade the paint underneath at the same rate as the exposed paint. The film has a patented adhesive that allows removal without damage to the film.
